Be a Man, man!

Be a Man African

Be a man and face your troubles. Actually, be a man and carry the burdens of the world.

Be a man and sweat your ass out in the mjengo to feed your family. Even the Good Lord said you have to toil. Sell one of your balls and buy food if you have to because you don’t deserve to be called a man if your family sleeps hungry.

Be a man and get yourself a job. A man cannot rest on his stupid ass and wait for his wife to go out and work. Find something to do like other men because it’s unimaginable for your woman to be the breadwinner.

Be a man and build a home for your family. A real man can’t live in rentals forever. You must own a piece of earth or we will be pointing at you and your family forever as an example of a failed man without a place to be buried. Be a man and buy land… People will praise you. You may even be called to events to speak to the youth on how to own land.

Be a man and kiss your woman even when she slaps you like they do in the soap operas. Dare to slap her back and we will kill you on Twitter. We will deport your silly ass into a prison unless you are rich and politically connected.

Be a man and take your wife places. Buy her a car and make sure your glamorous wedding is aired on TV. Make sure she has the trendiest clothes and shoes and handbags and weaves and curtains. Because, my friend, if you don’t maintain your woman she will go out to look for the real man.

Better yet, cheat on your wife, man. Actually, don’t even hide it… The society allows you to have many women. You will be less of a man if you don’t.

Be a man and fight for your country. Get up and get killed for your family. It is your duty to die because it is very wrong for the papers to write headlines like “several people including women and children died”. Get that? Be a man and be killed in their place. Actually, if you see enemies coming, run and meet them. Let them kill you first… You better die than live a coward.

Be a man and go for the woman of your dreams. Too bad if you are a broke loser and you aren’t tall, dark and handsome. They will sneer at you, but you must show the steel of a man, keep going after them. And no, even if it’s the woman who likes you, man, you are supposed to know that and go after her. Use your beard as your antennae, stupid!

Be a man and get circumcised. If you are a kihii you cannot lead us. I repeat, being cut means you have leadership qualities. The foreskin blocks the mind, too. And you cannot intermarry with other tribes if you don’t there is no way you will get the votes from the mountains.

Be a man and get rich. Drive manly cars. If you drive a Vitz you most likely use Veet to shave. Be a man and drink bitter beers without wincing like a baby. You can’t drink wine, man. Don’t you dare drink Fanta, dude.

It is a tough, rough life but, BE. A. MAN!

This and the next few weeks is Mamlaka Hill Chapel’s Art Fest. It’s a time when various artists show their skill in a Godly background. So,this Sunday the church was set in a different the way, this is a very flexible church, sometimes its a theater-complete with lighting and all, other times it’s a beauty pageant-with a real runway and cat-walking chicks and dudes-like this Sunday was.

On the pulpit-today it was a stage,as the service continues,Steve and Elizabeth are painting in real time..Steve is doing a warrior drawing and Eliz is showing the different divides that are there in our lives, complete with a black box that we put our ugly secrets, hatred, ethnicity, etc. Its breathtaking.

There is a dramatized piece on fear which the performer completes by unveiling some of the most breathtaking paintings you will ever see anywhere…stuff that should hang on your wall!

Michael Jackson would be envious if he saw the break-dancing trio that comes up next…intertwined with a fashion show that would have given Ashley’s a run for their money. How could I forget the cakes on show(and the free giveaways).

The closing prayer was a poem by Larry-that guy is an epic poet.God must have smiled at such a prayer,so melodic, rhyming and sensible.

This was all concluded in a complete Exhibition later in the afternoon.Look at the images.

Art in Church? You may ask.Yeah, according to Pastor Ondachi and Artist Flora, there is no greater honour to God than to appreciate His great artist hand.If you look around, all you will see is fine art..the landscape, the people of all colours and language…everything is deliberately designed…there is no better place to do that than in church.

God is articulate about using our gifts. Now,art is a gift from God.Never doubt that…and if you have a gift, you gotta use it.You got to express yourself(that’s what art means)

Flora says you CAN LIVE ON ART.Proverbs 18:16 says,A man’s gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men(KJV).….your room is where you thrive, where you let out what you were created for…where you take your place on earth…Great men is the audiences that you present yourself to the world.

Artists cant stand on their own, they say..they are some of the most shy people in the world and marketing themselves is quite hard…we need to support them…just be a them you are interested…its all they need.

So,friends, welcome to Mamlaka Hill Chapel for the next few weeks and marvel at the talent…painting/drawing,Poetry,dancing,cake-baking,fashion design, playing instruments, drama…its something you pay arm and a leg out there, free just the right environment.

Collectors…go get your collections! And you, you have a talent? What are you doing about it..what will you say when asked by its Giver what you did with it.Go do your at Mamlaka or wherever you should be..NOW!

You are sad,the world doesnt care.
You cry,the world doesnt offer tissue.
You are hurt, the world doesnt offer ointment.
You are lonely, the world doesnt offer company.
You are happy, the world lifts its eyebrows.
You are looking for approval, the world frowns in disapproval.
You smile, the world frowns down upon U.
You make plans, the world doesnt help impliment them.
You celebrate,the world is indifferent.
You fall the world doesnt help u up.
You make mistakes, the world mumbles ‘serves u right’.
You succeed, the world isnt happy for U.
You fail, the world secretly spots a wry smile.
You reach out,the world shoves You back.
You talk, the world shuts you up.
You stay silent, the world doesnt notice.
You try to be nice, the world retorts.
You try to be bad ass, the world beats you to it.
You die,a section of that world throws in a shovel of soil!!
So do Your thing the way you want to because the world DOESN’T GIVE A HOOT!!!

To be Afrikan and what this means to me,
Is a task that sheer words cannot dare to treat,
For the beauty and warm feel of this majestic continent,
Is one I’m always sure and totally confident.

To be Afrikan, I wonder……….
Is it to have the awesome complexion of the midnight sky?
Or to possess the skill of crafting that delicious meal?
Is it to be blessed with the never ending smile of the sun?
Or maybe, to manage that intricate dance or beat of the drum?

Am I Afrikan because of the nature of my walk?
Or by the manner in which I pattern my talk?
Am I Afrikan because of this dear name I hold?
Or by fact that Afrika is where I have a place I call home?

Is it a feeling, is it a destiny?
Or just a mere form of identity?
Is it an attitude, is it a lifestyle?
Or just another cultural dwelling?

I believe it is all these, and more than entails this list,
That give me strength and with confidence fill me in,
To here boldly stand, and with kingly authority confirm,
That I am a prince of my Mamaland:
I am an Afrikan Child.

what if you tattooed my name
upon your bosom
and showed it
so everyone knew
who i was
and what i mean to you

what if i
was your everything today
your heartbeat
the reason that you smile
at life
your very breath
what if i was all this and more
but when you woke up tomorrow
you feel nothing at all for me?

no hatred or reason to fight
no bitterness nor need for it
no antagonism
and no affection

what if the magic just

there are things i fear
in love
more than i fear
the other woman
more than i fear my lover leaving
without a word

love lost
the feeling of feeling nothing
nothing at all
that i fear most

tracking stray things
i can
rekindling a flickering flame
that too
but making things
reappear from the air
like a magician’s abracadabra
i cannot

how do you create love
or anything
from nothingness
i am not God

what do you do
when cupid
does disappearing acts
and you love no more
feel no more
no matter how much
you wish it be

walking away
from hurt and betrayal
i can handle

but looking at you
and i want so badly
to touch you
to hold on to this
this void
this left emptiness
that none of us is guilty
for making
that i cannot handle

that’s what i fear most
in love
when it breathes warmly
in your ear
and whispers of forever
only to grow wings at midnight
and leave an emptiness

between two lovers
who are left
to stare at each other
with tears in both their eyes
as they wonder
what went wrong

not another woman
not my man leaving
not even finding him cheating

love leaving
and like a black hole
leaving nothingness
and an emptiness
that’s neither cold nor warm

that i fear most

A very talented and reknown poet….Knowing her was a discovery!…a relevation!

Sometimes i reach out..
sometimes i hesitate.
Sometimes i hold on..
sometimes i let go.
Sometimes i look back..
sometimes i look foward.
Sometimes i lose my way..
sometimes i find a brand new path.
Sometimes i falter..
sometimes i stand firm.
Sometimes i fail..
sometimes i succeed.
Sometimes i give up..
sometimes i persevere.
Sometimes i am stupid..
sometimes i am wise.
Sometimes i use my intuitions..
sometimes i use cues.
Sometimes i overestimate..
sometimes i underestimate.
Sometimes i look at the black and white..
sometimes i include the grey.

I come from a place where there isn’t any milk or honey.
where the roads flow from one corner to the other covering what is left of the earth.
I come from a place where the poet is cool,
where the calm and collected are few
where the feuds are solved with an eye for an eye
and where the member of Parliament rules.

We live and die,
make sacrifices and almost cry
we are selfish and sometimes wise
we are lost and still manage to find ourselves.
so I come in the form of written words,
to ask why ..

I come from a place where no one will read my lines
I am the author of controversy.
I am the piece the editor will delete
I am the source of the secrets that’ll heal,
But it doesn’t matter,
because we are at war
and the only thing constant in the universe is our existence ..
For everything evolves
and gets more dangerous or of lesser value.
We Change from just humans to
The urbanites…

More Is Less More or Less

In a country,
A country of
More laws and fewer morals
More people with less power
More religions but less God
More money but less to spend
More clothes but less length
More weaves and less dreads
More guys, less gents
More lovers, less wives
More hugs, less love
More radio, less music
More songs, less music
More cars, less drive
More food but less health
More ‘beef’ and less veg’
More tweeps but less friends
More tweets but less said
More words but less spelled
In such a country,
Our death shall be
More poets…
But fewer poems.

My heart mourns daily
N knows not how to make merry
The pain I grieve is too high
Oh how I wish I could just die

If love is so great
Why is it that I regret?
And if really it is so true
Why do I then feel like a fool?

My soul for sure is drown in tears
And my body cogged down with fear
I know not what tomorrow holds
Yet cannot get out of my sorrows fold

Am afraid to let this end
For I wonder what message I will send
I just don’t want to say goodbye
Yet I know it’s not worth another try

I now real need a new beginning
Without including my feelings
For so to avoid any more weeping
Then I will live my life with a meaning

Everything will be alright
It will get better by the morning light
This I tell my conflicted heart
Yet this I know is all just a lie

The sun will still come out tomorrow
Yet I need to get out of my sorrow
Before I sink into the distress hollows
Where my body and soul will be no more

Ah,this road terrain,
Worsened by the rain,
It’s literally a earth road, sorry, rocky road, no murram,
Not even in this Christmas time.

No cars,
No bikes,
Vehicles cant navigate these boulders,
And the dust,
Makes me feel like a Survivor cast,
Oh,there’s the only lorry that can take me to town!

Thats the situation in this lorry,
This goat is looking at me as if to say sorry,
Frank,this isnt Nairobi,
Move your bag,I want to pee!
You can report me to your MP.

Teeth gritting,
Everybody is mad,
Why did we vote for that toad,
He uses a plane, not this road,
Even with his billboard,
He can forget our vote this time,
But wait, thats what you said last time!

Thats my phone battery,
Can’t type anymore, let me listen to this story,
As I tread on my country road!
And watch miraa trees dusty on the roadside.

My country road.

A friend of mine came to ask me for advice the other day.
She’s pregnant! So,do I know anybody who can ‘get rid of this?’ Because
‘I’m still very young, man,I cant support a kid!’
I looked at her and said ‘yeah,I know many people who can do that’ You
should have seen her face light up!
But wait…
“But I wont hook you up with any!”
“What?”She looked at me in surprise, its like I had told her I wouldnt
share a last meal with her.
Before she banged the door to leave,I told her..”Dearie,go back to the basics”
You see, everything you do under the sun has consequences and you
should either avoid them, mitigate them,or accept them wholly!
For instance this girl, lets call her Makena. She couldnt have just
happened on her condition, she must have ‘eaten arrowroots’ as granny
would call it.
Sex is good, its sweet, especially when you are not supposed to be
having it.Your parent would say Abstain,Jimmy Gathu Be faithful to
one,doctors,use a Condom.Everybody know this,its EVERYWHERE!Those who
have gone to school get it in the syllabus,Makena is in Second Year at
University,She knows!

But she chose to ignore it,or throes came above her reason. She enjoyed
it,I bet, they say candy is sweet without wrappings…I wasnt
there, maybe I was cold and lonely somewhere in downtown Nairobi or
But now,she wants me to join in her woes,by killing!Thats how I view
abortion,its MURDER!
She sees it as my responsibility as a friend.
Now she wont talk to me,and I wont back can I call her and
say ‘Make, come, lets go kill that bastard’
I’d be damned.Go back to basics and explain (to yourself) how it
happened and if there is a choice.
If your car gets involved in an accident.Go back to basics and see
where you went wrong, could you have avoided it by not speeding?or
checking the brakes?
Go back to basics.

I’m Trying, But…

I’m trying, but…
what I want to do,
I don’t do enough of,
and what I don’t want to do,
I do too much of.
I know the rules for a Christian life,
according to the Bible,
and I’m trying; I really am, but…
heaven and eternity seem so far away,
and the rampantly materialistic world
presses in so close
from every direction, every side,
that I get distracted.
Focus, focus, focus!
I need to focus, laser-like
on a simple, God-centered life.
Do I really need
to make that frivolous purchase,
instead of giving the money
to someone who needs it
so much more than I do?
Can I watch that TV show,
read that book, listen to that song
that contains (and promotes!)
even a little bit
of what the Bible forbids,
without being corrupted?
Do I do enough
to love and help and encourage others?
Pride always hovers,
eagerly waiting
to subdue and conquer humility,
so I think too much of myself.
I know the rules;
the Bible makes everything clear.
Forgive me, Lord;
I’m trying, but…

A Perfect Christian

You could count on a perfect Christian
To always be gentle and humble,
To be immune to sin,
And never, ever stumble.

He’d study and remember
All of God’s commands;
He’d be trustworthy, moral and honest;
You’d know just where he stands.

With others, she’d be in harmony;
She’d never lose her cool;
Forgiving and forgetting,
Following the Golden Rule.

He’d surrender his life to God,
Full of joy and peace,
Free of stress and worry…
Perfect, pure release.

She’d lift up everyone,
Full of sweet compassion,
Free of worldly wants,
Ignoring worldly fashion.

But we can’t ever be perfect,
So we always need to pray
For the strength to do our best
To love God and obey.

To Be Kenyan is to be These

Maziwa ya Nyayo

To be Kenyan is to be these…
I went to a local primary school,
Used the same bag for seven years,
It was pure leather from K.M.C. products.
I drunk K.C.C. milk thanks to a political strategist,
Who I have come to both ridicule and praise.
I didn’t think much of my future,
My dad did much of that for me…
Time he stopped doing that,
Like I’ll stop cowering from wondering,
If the system continues to fail so bad…
Then more of us will die,
From secret assassinations,
When another group emerge harness disorient youth.

I am glad I got what I have,
Straps of sandals on clean feet,
Articulate in my matters and affairs,
I take little to a fool’s whim.
Why should 2012 be any different?
Same mongers seat on the throne.
Shame politics still tribal,
Jesters and my future employers.
Because I might as well be their recruit.
Or else I live doing examinations in lecture rooms.
Till I have every degree that makes a C.V.
So that am accepted clean into the running of things.
But true is that,
How many get in clean,
Dirty business dealing with kids,
Even charity and N.G.Os seem a little hood wink,
Why do we have so many things need protecting from?
More ladies driving on our roads,
Congratulations to them, who know how the world goes round…
Same as it did back in the day.
It is the smart ones that have it going good.
That is food for thought in our books,
Before another magazine define how unromantic we are,
The Adams apple will rumble right,
Cause an evening fall down,
Because it needs a boss.

Laughing at the same ranting,
How advanced we are going to be,
Talk about the Kenya we want,
What we don’t want is more talk.
All good things come to an end.
At least make as many people get taste of it.
Before we have a repeat of December ‘07.
Let’s enjoy the peace we are having,
And not take it for granted that we live like this.

Youth will make love with condoms,
Disregard that A.I.Ds. exists,
Until there are no more virgins to conquer,
Till our morals waste away at Carnivore,
Over and over again on a local tune,
The new heat wave taking over us in our millions.
Because I get the feeling no one believes in love anymore,
Like we have take away at everything,
No more home cooked meals,
Take away at clubs joints.
Taken away by the western plague.
Playing marbles with everything,
Tapping fingers on our desks,
Hatching new conquest and ways to make ourselves,
Today’s talk and press release.

Wait till am done with this formality,

Get my degree…
Pay back my dues to my mother,
When I get this talent working for all
For the good and entertainment of all.
When I get it right in the manner of things,
How to proceed with an extra cautious foot,
Because I am about to roar,
On a pillar and call out a crowd,
My small crowd, the ears I get to…
The minds I touch and move,
As my blood moves and penetrates.
There is nothing as lively,
Until we start sipping into the system,
Until the great tools of year gone,
By Greeks and Romans,
By the Chinese in the yellow river valley,
By Kwame Nkurumah,
By my History teacher,
My geography teacher who I imagined wrote notes,
Of deep and intrinsic thought.
How is that we start legacy?
Is it not like these…?
To be Kenyan is to be these.

Look at me,
it’s not my true identity
I have a covert identity,
i wonder if you’d ever see,
my thoughts, my deeds
are all that makes me
but something I may do
may not describe me.

My true identity
has fled me,
fled me to another
to my friends and family
my true identity
is all that makes me.

So lost deep inside
if its not for my soul
i would[d be lost again
my true identity
is hard to see.

Sailing Away…..

I start with a wobbly step,
Gaining a steady foot
On the sandy beaches
I must reach the boat of hope
Before it sets assail
I can’t loose this will I’ve found……
No, Not now!
No, Not today!
I have to gain a pace
To remain in this race
In my backpack
Are a pack of lessons past learnt
From broken trust and prommises
A load of scarred wounds
But then again……
A ton of determination
brewed from a mix of
Endurance and Patience
My constant reminders
To why I must set foot into the seas
To why I must loose the shores
Of pain and hurt
Of heartbreaks and regrets
Dissapear into the horizons
I know the chances
Of facing strong storms
Encountering vicious sharks
But I will fight
I will survive…
Am not loosing this will I have found
No, not now
No, not today !

Dont Strike the sorrow Chord

Do not strike the chord of sorrow tonight!
Days burning with pain turn to ashes.
Who knows what happens tomorrow?
Last night is lost; tomorrow’s frontier wiped out:
Who knows if there will be another dawn?
Life is nothing, it’s only tonight!
Tonight we can be what the gods are!

Do not strike the chord of sorrow, tonight!
Do not repeat stories of sufferings now,
Do not complain, let your fate play its role,
Do not think of tomorrows, give a damn-
Shed no tears for seasons gone by,
All sighs and cries wind up their tales,
Oh, do not strike the same chord again!

Its the journey thats important

Life, sometimes so wearying
Is worth its weight in gold
The experience of traveling
Lends a wisdom that is old
Beyond our ‘living memory’
A softly spoken prayer:
“It’s the journey that’s important,
Not the getting there!”
Ins and outs and ups and downs
Life’s road meanders aimlessly?
Or so it seems, but somehow
Leads us where we need to be,
And being simply human
We oft question and compare…
“Is the journey so important
Or the getting there?”
And thus it’s always been
That question pondered down the ages
By simple men with simple ways
To wise and ancient sages…
How sweet then, quietly knowing
Reaching destination fair:
“It’s the journey that’s important,
Not the getting there!”

Today, many will awaken with a fresh sense of inspiration. Why not you?
Today, many will open their eyes to the beauty that surrounds them. Why not you?
Today, many will choose to leave the ghost of yesterday behind and seize the immeasurable power of today. Why not you?
Today, many will break through the barriers of the past by looking at the blessings of the present. Why not you?
Today, for many the burden of self doubt and insecurity will be lifted by the security and confidence of empowerment. Why not you?
Today, many will rise above their believed limitations and make contact with their powerful innate strength. Why not you?
Today, many will choose to live in such a manner that they will be a positive role model for their children. Why not you?
Today, many will choose to free themselves from the personal imprisonment of their bad habits. Why not you?
Today, many will choose to live free of conditions and rules governing their own happiness. Why not you?
Today, many will find abundance in simplicity. Why not you?
Today, many will be confronted by difficult moral choices and they will choose to do what is right instead of what is beneficial. Why not you?
Today, many will decide to no longer sit back with a victim mentality, but to take charge of their lives and make positive changes. Why not you?
Today, many will take the action necessary to make a difference. Why not you?
Today, many will make the commitment to be a better mother, father, son, daughter, student, teacher, worker, boss, brother, sister, & so much more. Why not you?
Today is a new day!
Many will seize this day.
Many will live it to the fullest.
Why not you?

Kenyan Dawn

On the night jamuhuri twelve,

Ululations pomp and joy
Like a visit by Santa and the elves
A nation was being born
In the maternities of our struggles
Shackles were divorcing my arms
Prison walls falling down
To the music of trumpets of Mau Mau
The night was chilly, but,
They raised the flag on the highest peak
And sang anthem to the new born
The queen’s jack kneeled down
To the green red white and black of the land
And when the dawn came,
We were pregnant with hope
Screaming in maternity ward of our dreams
To usher in a new era
But we made the error
Greed clouded our vision
Hate and human indecisions
Divide conquer and rule
Brainwashing in schools
Giving civilization to descendants of the apes
Bastards of colonial rape
……..we wait…..
For the fruits of the tree
Planted in nineteen sixty three
Soon it will be a jubilee….
….but…..I wait……she waits ….he waits…
For uhuru………
Behind The Poem:

it a wait that every kenyan citizen have in their heart……

It’s a funny thing,
What we call life,
It gives us trouble,
It causes strife.
It makes us laugh,
It makes us cry,
Yet all we do,
Is stress and try.
To make it through,
Surpass Our frowns,
To make it past,
Life is ups and downs.
We don’t have a choice,
To stay or to go,
Were here for a while,
Is all that we know.
So however hard,
When there is no fun,
Sit back and remember,
We only get one.

Whatever you Plant, you will Harvest

Plant and harvest
If you plant honesty, you will reap trust.
If you plant goodness, you will reap friends.
If you plant humility, you will reap greatness.

If you plant hard work, you will reap success.
If you plant forgiveness, you will reap reconciliation.
If you plant openness, you will reap intimacy.
If you plant patience, you will reap improvements.
If you plant faith, you will reap miracles.

If you plant dishonesty, you will reap distrust.
If you plant selfishness, you will reap loneliness.
If you plant pride, you will reap destruction.
If you plant envy, you will reap trouble.
If you plant laziness, you will reap stagnation.
If you plant bitterness, you will reap isolation.
If you plant greed, you will reap loss.
If you plant gossip, you will reap enemies.
If you plant worries, you will reap wrinkles.
If you plant sin, you will reap guilt.

Start Where You Stand

Start where you stand and never mind the past,
The past won’t help you in beginning new,
If you have left it all behind at last
Why, that’s enough, you’re done with it, you’re through;
This is another chapter in the book,
This is another race that you have planned,
Don’t give the vanished days a backward look,
Start where you stand.

The world won’t care about your old defeats
If you can start anew and win success,
The future is your time, and time is fleet
And there is much of work and strain and stress;
Forget the buried woes and dead despairs,
Here is a brand new trial right at hand,
The future is for him who does and dares,
Start where you stand.

Old failures will not halt, old triumphs aid,
To-day’s the thing, to-morrow soon will be;
Get in the fight and face it unafraid,
And leave the past to ancient history;
What has been, has been; yesterday is dead
And by it you are neither blessed nor banned,
Take courage, man, be brave and drive ahead,
Start where you stand.

Promise yourself….
To be so strong that nothing
can disturb your peace of mind.
To talk health, happiness, and prosperity
to every person you meet.

To make all your friends feel
that there is something in them
To look at the sunny side of everything
and make your optimism come true.

To think only the best, to work only for the best,
and to expect only the best.
To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others
as you are about your own.

To forget the mistakes of the past
and press on to the greater achievements of the future.
To wear a cheerful countenance at all times
and give every living creature you meet a smile.

To give so much time to the improvement of yourself
that you have no time to criticize others.
To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear,
and too happy to permit the presence of trouble.

To think well of yourself and to proclaim this fact to the world,
not in loud words but great deeds.
To live in faith that the whole world is on your side
so long as you are true to the best that is in you

defining Happiness

‘Does Happiness depend upon comfort? ’
The answer is definitely a big, ‘No! ’
Happiness lies in not comforts alone!
Happiness is not a static quality of the human mind, body and soul.

All can’t remain happy all the time.
It would be foolishness to wish for a life, filled with happiness alone;
Happiness is more when woes come in-between.
Happiness is just a feeling weird!

Life could become boring and monotonous, when happiness is prolonged.
Even the pauper can be happier than the prince.
Even the beggar smiles and sleeps well, despite much strife.

Happiness is a frame of mind that’s dynamic in nature;
Happiness is a kind of mood of feeling very well;
Happiness is a state of one, when life seems worth living;
Happiness is something strange that varies with time, experience and wisdom.

Happiness is all within;
Happiness is in giving;
Happiness is in sharing;
Happiness is the ceiling, whatever you fix!

Happiness does not wholly depend on comforts;
Happiness cannot be bought by money;
Happiness is not all luxury;
Happiness is abstract to the core!

Happiness is in being child-like, though adult;
Happiness is in making and seeing the less fortunate ones, smile;
Happiness is in acting adult-like, although a child
Happiness is in giving something to someone, although you still need it.

Happiness is in sacrificing for others’ sake;
Happiness is in giving up your chance to someone, who most needs it;
Happiness is in doing acts of charity;
Happiness is when you’ve led a righteous life.

Happiness to some is in dreams alone;
Happiness to some doing risky feats;
Happiness to a few is in a sheer lazy life;
Happiness to some is in yeoman service to mankind.

Happiness is a phenomenon;
Happiness is a quirk of fate;
Happiness is quite rare and scarce at times;
Happiness to some is in living in a virtual world!

Happiness is in braving the storms of life;
Happiness is in toiling for others’ sakes;
Happiness is in sharing your talents and ken;
Happiness is in loving your poor brethren.

Nothing To Fear

There’s nothing to fear – you’re as good as the best,
As strong as the mightiest, too.
You can win in every battle or test;
For there’s no one just like you.
There’s only one you in the world today;
So nobody else, you see,
Can do your work in as fine a way:
You’re the only you there’ll be !

So face the world, and all life is yours
To conquer and love and live:
And you’ll find the happiness that endures
In just the measure you give;
There’s nothing too good for you to possess,
Nor heights where you cannot go:
Your power is more than belief or guess –
It is something you have to know.

There is nothing to fear – you can and you will.
For you are the invincible you.
Set your foot on the highest hill –
There’s nothing you cannot do.

People only see what they are prepared to see!!
What’s your greatest fear?KATAA HIYO!!

Perfect Living

Don’t undermine your worth by comparing yourself with others,
It is because we are different that each of us is special.

Don’t set your goals by what other people deem important,
Only you know what is best for you.

Don’t take for granted the things closest to your heart
Cling to that as you would your life, for without them life is meaningless.

Don’t let your life slip through your fingers by living in the past or the future.
By living your life one day at a time, you live all the
days of your life.

Don’t give up when you still have something to giveNothing is really over … until the moment

Nothing is really over … until the moment you stop trying.

Don’t be afraid to admit that you are less than perfect,
It is the fragile thread that binds us to each other.

Don’t be afraid to encounter risks,
It is by taking chances that we learn how to be brave.

Don’t shut love out of your life by saying it’s impossible to find.
The quickest way to receive love is to give love.

The fastest way to lose love is to hold on too tightly,
And the best way to keep love is to give it wings.

Don’t dismiss your Dreams. To be without

To be without dreams is to be without hope.
To be without hope is to be without purpose.

Don’t run through life so fast that you forget where you’ve been,
But also know where you’re going.

Life is not a race, but a journey to be savored

Life as we should live it

Without worrying.
Without looking back.
For the freedom.

Without thinking.
Without planning.
With imagination.
With love.
With life.

At yourself.
For yourself.

For yourself.
Helping others.
The way you want.
The way you need.
Your life.

A person can make you feel high,
A person can make you feel low.
But only you can decide,
Which way you want to go.

A person can hurt you mentally,
A person can hurt you physically.
But only you can place,
A limit on your abilities.

A person can cause drama,
A person can cause a situation.
But only you can create,
Your own reputation.

A person can make you laugh,
A person can make you cry.
But only you can make,
Decisions for your life.

I guess what I’m trying to say,
That when you’re living day to day.
Don’t live by what people do,
But live by what you know is true.
